  • WSET Level 4 Course - WSET School; 9/6/2014-5/23/2015 (WSET School, Bermondsey): Appearance: The wine is Clear with a Deep garnet colour. Very definite legs
    Nose: The nose is Clean and Developing, showing Medium(+) intensity primary aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, black plum, damson, secondary aromas of smoke, toast, cloves, vanilla and tertiary aromas of fig, prune.
    Palate: The wine is Dry in the mouth with a Medium(+) level of acidity. It has High Ripe/Soft tannins and a High Level of alcohol (15.00%). It has Full body and Medium(+) intensity primary flavours of blackcurrant, blackberry, black plum, damson, secondary flavours of vanilla, cloves, smoke, toast and tertiary flavours of fig, prune. The finish is Long. Ripe, jammy, baked fruit character. Refreshing acidity
    Overall: Good potential to age. Tannins still stick out and need to soften. Alcohol also sticks out.
    Conclusion: It is a Very Good quality wine. Can Drink Now but has Potential for Ageing Borderline on Too Young. Has tannic and acidic structure to improve with age. Flavours need to develop and tannins need to soften. At least 5 years.; Premium priced (£25.99)
