Serious Grenache, medium to full body, tart raspberry and dark cherry fruit, velvety mouthfeel and long finish. Spicy bite, tannic structure still fully intact. Good balance. CH rarely disappoints.

This wine needed 15 minutes of air to blow off some volatile compounds. After that it was quite smooth, nicely mellow and mature. I will probably finish up my last bottle in the next 6 months, it's probably just starting on the downward slope right now.

Thought these were all gone and found this in bottom back row what a great find. these CH Grenache have always been a great drinking wine. On open it smelled like cherry pie first taste little tight gave it 30-40 min decant and opened to a smooth raspberry fruit. Tannins well resolved and in a good window might go another year or two but enjoyed finding it now.

Decanted one hour. Medium body and with a rich mouthfeel, this Aussie Grenache is well balanced with almost Pinot-like structure. Fruit and oak in harmony, with a lingering spice finish. Nice and recommended.

The nose really had me thinking this was older than it was blind but the palate was youthful, bold and with warmth that was valued on cold November evening.

Hot alcohol and spice. Gave us both an immediate headache and queasy stomachs. Didn't notice any obvious flaws (it's possible, though), I just really think this wine didn't agree with us. Rounded a bit with air but was very harsh upon opening. Hot, bitter, bold black and red fruit. Not worth the price and nothing interesting with age.

Opened and decanted about an hour. Upon open sweet cherry pie on the nose followed with raspeberry, cranberry and tart cherry with a pretty tannic finish not like last bottle 5 months ago. Bottle variation? probably but not as good as the Kangarilla bottling which has been great. Still a nice wine maybe could use another year sideways.

Night 1: medium+ body. tannic for a 10 year old wine. easily has a coupletwotree more years of life at minimum. red fruits. strawberry, cranberry. a bit of blackberry as well. some of that earthy almost hay-like grenache thing you expect. a bit of cinnamon. pepper for sure. a bit of heat, but not overbearing by any means.
Night 2 - tannins softened and brought the wine more into balance. Hold for at least another year or two.

A nose of dark fruits and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied single vineyard red, with blackberry, blueberry, with a spiced finish, drink now. www.winelx.com

As always the Clarendons I've gotten from WTSO are a killer QPR at $30 for this juice. Nice med garnet color black cherry hits the nose then 30 minutes slow'x and its bit of earthiness and raspberries galore. glad I got a few more this should be drinking well into next year. Hope I can hold off to try one then :-)

Very little fruit and practically no scents of anything other than violets. Maybe I opened this wine during a "backward" period in its life, but in its current state I would not recommend this wine to anyone. Not flawed, just dull and boring as hell.

similar to June 2019 notes. Perhaps more gregarious with black raspberries and less bubble gum. Dark fruits on the long finish with just a bit of drying, sandy tannins. A really nice effort that appears to be in prime, yet could age gracefully for another 5+ years

This is not a Gigondas-styled Grenache! Big raspberry fruit, no bubblegum, medium-full bodied. A bit of dust/dirt in the refined finish. Nice McLaren Vale version - drinking at its peak

Slightly rustic and earthy bouquet with well-balanced purity of fruit. Drinking well now, but better with a few hours from the bottle.
