From 62cl, perfect cork, opened but not decanted 90 minutes, continued to improve in glass. Beef consommée, smoked bacon; supremely ripe lemon confit; gorgeously oxidative but totally pure aromatic Savignin fruit at peak concentration. Very long. Can't believe my previous bottle and TN was on 27.08.2015; it feels like yesterday. Great wine by any standards 94-95P

De color dorado. Nariz expresiva, con matices de crianza biológica, toques salinos, algo de humo, fruta amarilla confitada y un toquecito de champiñones. En boca tiene buen ataque, seco, afilado en el paso, largo y con gran profundidad. Excelente!

From 62cl, perfect cork under wax seal. Opened 2 hours before serving. Intense scent of yeast, smoked bacon, sea breeze (iodine?) and supreme fino sherry. Almost sweet on first sipping, but after 1-2 seconds the massively concentrated, big-bodied and almost oily consistency of the entry reminds you it is perfectly dry. Vibrant, multi-layered acidity kicks in on the mid-palate and persists on to the very long, salty-tangy, umami-laden finish. Amazing resonance lasting more than a minute. Superb right now; it will, of course, keep for ever, but why wait? 95P

Jura, Puligny Montrachet and Champagne; 9/8/2013-9/20/2013: Sous bois, mushroom, dried wild mushrooms, beef consommé, yeast... what a scent! The entry is quite deep, if not quite oily; a layered mid-palate with considerable minerality and persistence balances the intense acidity beautifully. Very fine indeed. 14,5% alc. 91P(+)

Curnonsky dinner. Real fresh, yeasty. High alcohol, touch short.

Complex nose of bruised flowers, yeast, calfskin, and mushrooms. Throws elbows in the mouth. A delicious vin jaune.
