- Brick color with medium forming legs. It's somewhat balanced with a medium body. Polished texture - Blackberry, licorice, could use a bit more earthy elements.

Echoing other reviews on this one: This is a very nicely done wine. The Mourvedre adds a distinctive and pleasurable taste. It's drinking well, hard to see that this could improve beyond where it is right now. It stayed consistently interesting during time in glass, and didn't go flat or improve. Instead it started off nicely and intriguingly and continued that way.

had glass for lunch today from tap. 1st time having a wine from tap. Served chilled on a cold day. Fresh, vibrant, not too tangy. with warmth and air shows some earthy elements but this is a simple, clean fruity, and tasty wine.

Does varietally bottled Mourvedre have a future in California? Here is a very loud affirmative answer. Decanted 1 hr. ahead and sampled over the next 90 mins. Deep deep garnet, with purple. Very nice nose of earth tones, black cherry, violets, black pepper. Led on the palate by heaps of clear black fruit in a smooth and rich texture that is also full-bodied, with the fruit keeping things interesting and not overbearing or too heavy; very drinkable. Finishes well, with a touch of cranberry, light grip and light tannins (folks who see lots of tannin here need to let it breathe). Wow. A great bottle. Full of interest. Could be better in a few years, but not much.
Drinking very well now. Rather fruit forward with interesting acidity, especially for a mourvedre. A bit prickly on the midpalate and a somewhat stunted finish. Lots of bright red fruit, but nothing terribly complex at this stage. I wonder how this might evolve.

Big mid palate, with some VA, and some grace. Lovely overall, if a bit quixotic. But a good quixotic, a tasty one. Back finishes with tons of tannin and acidity.

Dark fruit, violets, plums, and spices on the nose. Good acidity with fresh fruit and berries on the palate. Nice finish. Excellent QPR

Ripe fruit with a nice tartness. Full bodied with a hint of oak.

This was a remarkable wine. Smooth black fruits, acid, dirt, with a savory meaty note. Absolutely beautiful.

Just a touch corked. Again with the VA on the nose. But I really like the fruit on the mid palate. Seamless.
