Totally integrated, all as earlier notes with the addition of total integration, this had a strange nose and taste initially similar to new tyres, very odd but it blew off in around 15 minutes and this was a classic spatlese.

Love this wine. Light golden color. Intense and so appealing nose, with strong petrol, lime and exotic fruit. Light body, slight sweetness but not at all obtrusive and balances well the crisp acidity. Flavours of exotic fruits; cooked pineapple, mango and orange peel. Energetic, intense, all in balance, excellent length. highly pleasurable. I love it.

Still bright, still showing those attributes that make this such an easy wine to drink, subtle perfectly balanced and years ahead of it judging by this bottle, a little sweet for me but I am nitpicking here.

Two years on from the last bottle, pale lemon colour green rim, stone fruits and citrus on the nose, on the palate peaches apricots bit of orange perfect balance some length, the sweetness is perfectly balanced by the acidity which is hardly noticed as light as a feather, lovely wine.

Apricot peach on the nose with some apple acidity, same in the mouth , sweet intense but balanced and a long smooth finish, as someone else in their notes on this Riesling said “a real crowd pleaser” a better bottle than the J J Prum 2003 auslese on this night.

Much more of a "crowd-pleaser" than the Steinmetz. Much sweeter but in no sense overdone. Brighter mouthfeel, silky, lovely long finish. Much potential left to age well.

Peach and apricot on the nose. In addition to them, some apple flavors are appearing on the palate as well. The taste is sweet and very intensive, but the sweetness is balanced by the very lively acidity. A delicious, seductively charming and great wine!

TTTG Blind (very brief notes) (Enfield): Rich; apricot and pear. Tasted blind, and I said "I think this Schaefer, but I'm not sure." and got not credit (for hedging). Has the ripe, unapologetic, Schaefer joie de vivre.

Very pretty, subtle, elegant, complex. Ripe & tart orchard fruit, grape blossom, lime-flesh. Creamy, fruity, firm. Love it, & very nice+ stuff, but not quite in the very top rank of '12 Spatlesen for me. (91+)
