Remnants of a once-decent wine...that is simply awful at this stage.
But Wine Spectator said drink through 2027? WTH are they thinking? This stuff will be vinegar in a year. I can't believe I drank a whole glass of this swill. Suppose I was hoping it would get better. It didn't.
I find the drinking windows here on CT to be much more accurate than those of WS. Not all wines are meant to be aged for 15 years! Especially not a light bodied pinot noir from New Zealand. Just sayin.

This is a hybrid between California and Burgundy Pinot; juicy cranberry, rhubarb, cherry that’s nicely spiced with white pepper and plenty of acidity on the finish.

Latest vintage @ La Boutique...about 18$ CAN. The last note i would tend to agree with - young Pinot that is drinking nice as is tasty for what it is, but does do better with a chill on it. Looks like a pinot in glass - in addition to those notes below, there is a light menthol and earthy quality about it.
Must say - the back label on bottle and the description actually is accurate as well, something i find refreshing...though this is average and could find similar style from other regions/producers for similar price.

15 aussie dollars on special. Colour is light red and hint of purple at the rim. Nose of cherries, cranberries, hint of vanila, smoky oak. On the mouth simple, one dimentional, but delicious and easy going. I would not buy again (had enough of these) but one of best bistro pinot noir out there. Everytime I bring this to the restaurant, people seem to love it.

Incredulously to me seems to be the best regarded budget NZ pinot on the market by British critics (JR, OC, etc) over recent years. Caramel oak upon opening give way to beef gravy and pink grapefruit aromas - I dislike the latter in pinots. More pink grapefruit plus redcurrant and spicy (hot?) oak flavours. Medium-full body. Hot, spicy and fruity finish. Not bad..........but not too good either.

Pleasant, a little more body than the average Pinot. Slightly sweet but lacks depth

Very juicy. Noticeable taste from the stem. Easy going without much of an aftertaste. A no brainer. Worth the price.

Over 2 days, better on the second. Basic Pinot quite thin & finished short. Not bad for £10
