  • Red/some slight rim variation but not as much as when tasted at the tasting room 2 years ago. Lush red fruit, cherry, some ocean air, boysenberry on the nose. Acid is still there and tannins are also evident. Med body. This opens up after 30 minutes and is still fresh and alive. Really surprising as last time tasted was showing much more aging than this bottle is showing. 3-5 years easily left before showing signs of fading. Great example of SLH PN. Not a very long finish but excellent flavor and body.

  • Very dark and high toned. Ripe fruit is evident in the cherry jam aromas that are typical of the appellation. "Brilliant ruby-red. Sexy, oak-spiced aromas of black raspberry and cherry-cola, with a smokey nuance gaining strength in the glass. Sappy, incisive dark berry flavors take a brighter turn with air, picking up notes of bitter cherry and candied rose. The vanilla note comes back on the finish, which shows excellent clarity, supple tannins and lingering sweetness. I like this extroverted Pinot's blend of richness and vivacity."
