Wine-Ark boys on tour 2017 - Day 3 (Beechworth and Rutherglen): Riper but still meaty and savoury, some plummy fruit, a little too ripe perhaps. No it's just next to the 2011. Medium plus acidity, tannins are more ripe than the 2011 but I'm not sure that is a good thing for me. It is very pleasing in the riper spectrum.

I am optimistic here - this is nowhere near ready and it took hours in a glass for any signs of life (anise initially with signs of nice sweet fruit starting to emerge). I would hold off at least 10yrs. Really interesting and promising, but very difficult to evaluate at the moment. Vietti rates this the best Nebbiolo outside of Italy, and he's a pretty good judge.

Vinosphere Tasting: Black licorice and tar. The palate is mild in terms of tannins, there is a swath of sweet fruit that shows the origin of this wine but I still rather like it.

Powerful, savoury, still very young but delicious!
A big future ahead.

Lovely Nebbiolo, although a bit watery on the aftertaste at the moment.
