  • A perfumed aroma, violets, rose petals, aniseed and crushed nuts. Harsh tannins straight from the bottle but softens when out through the aerator. Creamy body full body, dark berries and astringent finish. The hit at the end is overpowering and makes it difficult to identify the flavours before it. I would have thought it would have softened a bit more after 8 years but still very strong. I think it is worth giving it a couple more years if you have any one hand.

  • Dark Ruby colour. Aroma of grilled meat, cedar, mushroom and spice. Dry, BlackBerry, white pepper, bitter chocolate. Medium dusty tannin, sharp acidity. Unpleasant finish, improved over time. Pleasant but requires more time in cellar.

  • Crimson colour. Aromas of fresh red and black berries. Medium body, smooth. Sweet plum, black berries and blue berry. Tannin sits in the background. Slight bitter aftertaste. Needed an hour to open up. Bit disappointed to start with but it improved after a glass or two.
