Cork was deteriorating but not significantly. Wine was showing signs of aging however it was still very drinkable. Good Red ripe fruit. some wood notes tannins still present.

Tasted over four days. It was best on the second and third, showing very good precision and balance. Oaky and fruity, but there is substance to it. Solid. 88-89.

Opened yesterday, when it was not terribly focused or impressive. Today, it is more defined and attractive. Quite dark and developed red. Good legs. Pretty nose with lots of attractive vanilla and menthol aromas. Red and black fruit in the mouth, nice enough, though not especially memorable. A bit rough around the edges. Still, I have a feeling that this might age well. I still have memories of a 1962 Gran Coronas black label drunk about 15 years ago, and that wine was extremely impressive. 4-12-15-8: 89/100.

- Violet color with slow forming legs - Cor violeta profundo, com bordas claras. Lagrimas abundantes e persistentes. No nariz, bastante especiarias. Em boca confirma o alto teor alcoolico e traz frutas e especiarias com notas de tosta. Bom vinho.

Disque légèrement plus pâle que le centre. Couleur de ruby. Sent les épices. Goût de cuir et épices. Légèrement corsé. Légèrement tannique. Pas sucré. Semi boisé. Semi acide. Pourrait vieillir encore.

Crimson. Ripe cherry, rose hip, slightly baked wood on the nose. Intense palate but simple, short finish. It lacks acidity of being a solid wine. I prefer Sangre de toro to Coronas. Alc. 14%

dark core with a pale red rim Stewed plums on the nose and some toasty, leathery notes, you can tell this has some age on it Relaxed, open and mellow, a little tannin at the end and some slightly hot fruit roasty finish Not the most elegant expression of cabernet. On its own terms, it's not bad

And this is the second positive surprise from a mega-winery this week (first one from Antinori's 2010 Toscana IGT, with the garden on the label).
Less inpenetrable and jammy than feared, but with good earthy, woody flavours, good balance, enough tannins, nice mouthfeel. A bit of sweetness. Was lamenting on 88 or 89p, but this is closer to 89 for me.
A well-made and joyful wine, no question, and at 14 EUR this is okay QPR as well.

Tasty. It was worth holding this for a few years. Well integrated. Nice acidity balanced with sweet red fruit.

Nice aromatics
Double decanted as opened 5 minutes before meal
Light style, medium body, smooth berries and softened acids making a good value cab that stands between Bx and west coast
First time I have drunk this in over 15 years.... Now a more subtle mouthful than I recall

This is a step more fragrant and weighted than Gran Sangre de Toro, but on the dinner table I prefer the savory style of the latter.
