Open and decanted for about an hour. Initially smooth, but with a tannic aftertaste. Over the course of the evening the tannins became less intrusive, but still not a great bottle.

Opened on 7/10 and finished the following night. PNP on night 1 and found fruit most prominent. Red fruit with not a lot else. Much better balanced on the following night, with soft notes of tobacco complimenting the red fruit. Surprisingly, the wine had more body on the second night.

Brandon says “awesome, fantastic nose, jammy with a top hat of tannins ”. I enjoyed as well. Very smooth, notes of chocolate and Berries. Drank with steak and cold seafood appetizers at Morton’s.

A step up from your mass-produced $20 cabs ... nice medium weight in color and body, and showing spicy undertones to the classic cassis, cherry, and floral flavors, along with grippy but smooth tannins, freshening acidiy and a nice medium+ finish.

Oh my, what a great wine, and in magnum size bought direct from the winery, a decent value. A fruit-forward Los Olivos region cab, but with lots of layers and complexity. On the nose and the taste, mixed with the Bing cherry and berry are chocolatey smoke and a hint of tobacco and leather. Really love this one, that's drinking great right now.

What impressed me most about this Jammy Cab is how well it survived over three nights. I uncorked Sunday night and through to this Wednesday night it has held up nicely. If you like your Cabs with a nice glycerin, jammy, acid-balanced structure this is a good one. I'm grilling a thick cut pork chop that should dance well with this one. The finished is long and I'm sensing there's some Cab Franc in this and a splash of Merlot. 90-91pts on nite 3.

Dark ruby color; VA, tart cassis, cherry nose; ripe cherry, ripe cassis palate, lacking structure; medium-plus finish
