Opens with heavy dose of green pepper on nose and palate, evolves into blue and black fruit, hint of vanilla and eucalyptus. Soft tannins and cocoa mid palate. Short finish that I think would pair well with a burger.

Def the least favorite vintage for me to date. More oaked I think because the fruit is diluted and much less present then the other vintages tried. 2011 did have late rain and was a wet season. Blackberry, plum, dark cherry, green pepper. Chocolate, shag tobac, cedar, clove, vanilla, cola. Med body and acid, tannins still got grip snd are full and round.

Last of 4 bottles and still drinking great. I love the depth and richness of the dark fruits. They're also nicely balanced with graphite, olive and woodsy notes, so the wine stays interesting and multi-dimensional. Probably on the back end of its drinking window, so I suggest drinking up. We look forward to finding some of the newer vintages. And oh, what a good looking bottle shape!

95% opaque, PnP and drink over 2.5 hours. Perfectly in its prime. Nose is intriguing and welcoming, rich black cherry and dark berries. There’s real purity and balance here. Taste is full with berry fruit without being overdone, no over extraction, and quickly gets dry. If only all California cabs could show this restraint!
Palate is medium heavy with cocoa, olive earthiness, slight salinity. Grainy tannins coat the cheeks. Alcohol is integrated, doesn’t feel strong. Long, enjoyable berry flavors are there.

Dark purple with long legs and an imposing presence. The nose is very fruit forward with rich plumbs and cassis. Modest acidity, strong mouthfeel and presence. Very round tannins. Lingering herry finish. Drinking well; the community tasting window appears underrated. 5+13+16+8=92

From the first taste, you know you are experiencing an amazing realization of talent, time, breeding and opportunity. Napa offers many delights, however, this expression reaches the heights of the art form! If it gets better, clearly it should be beyond our reach!

This "declassification" of Buccella always reminds me of the Caymus and Caymus SS offering. I don't know if it's a similar process but the wines are always just a couple points apart and when one is good the other is really good. The '11 Mica is clearly one of the better 2011s. It is more than "morsel" with gobs of dark berries and the Rutherford and Oakville sourced fruit taking center stage. I got a good hit of the "dust" from this version. Me-likey muy mucho.

I always like Mica. Excellent at $50 but pushing it at $70. Not overly complex but, everything you'd hope for from a Napa cab. Big blackberry, creamy oak, vanilla and a velvety texture. Give it a day to open and blow of the slight bitter finish.

Always spoilt by delicious wines with Mr B, but this one has hit the nail on the head with Mrs B - with the above rating there cannot be much wrong with this wine.
Unfortunately she wants the 635 cases all for herself!!!!!!!
Must go and enjoy before the bottle empties.

Corked. Disappointing! The fruit seems to be good on the palate, but alas!

Not too tight, but could really use a couple more years to mature. Nice cab though. Paired well with grilled rib eye.
