Definitely a rich style, and with grapes like old vine Zin and Petite Sirah, this is not a wine for the meek. Enjoy with rich, rustic food and let it have some air for the flavors to integrate. A great wine with a classically American flavor. A bit of history in a bottle.

This is the least impressive showing of any of the vintages of mixed black I've had in the last 5 years. This wine is literally like drinking port. Hot (16% plus), VA, over extracted, WAY too much new French oak. Too much. thick and brash, dark / red / back fruit bomb full of tannins and glycerine. Not impessive and won't be drinking any more of this. forced down a glass of this and tossed the remainder of the bottle. I don't know what the market is for something like this...lack of integration across the board on this. unfortunate display as much of Napa seems to be stepping away from this type of style.

Absolutely wonderful with nose, round mouth, boysenberries and tobacco. Just perfect with steak. Balanced, jammy and solid structure.

Rich dark fruit and tobacco, swirling through the mouth brings a regal flavor and nose. Absolutely exquisite.

Decanted for an hour. This blend remains interesting with dark briary fruit, spice, and pepper on the finish.
