  • Fascinating! It's light ruby color made it look more like a light bodied Pinot. There was a tiny bit of oxidation on the nose, but florals and ripe dark fruit again made it unique for a Rosé. Silky, balanced and long; just the biggest Rosé ever!

  • Still not loving this wine - don’t understand the good reviews. This drinks nothing like any rose I have had.

  • Did not love this wine. I am really surprised by all the extremely positive previous reviews...

  • This was a pop and pour to celebrate a friend's birthday. Take any notes that I post on rose wines with a grain of salt as I'm not at all knowledgeable on these. I can tell you that this wine was much darker than standard rose wine with a nose of overripe berries. Great flavours of these same dark berries almost made this wine taste like a slightly watered down cabernet sauvignon ice wine. Quite enjoyable.

  • This is a Rosé of Syrah. 4.5*+9+4.5+9+8.5+4.5+4.5=94+; 14.1% alc; Aromatics and flavors continued to come forward and improve as the wine warmed from refer temp to cellar temp to nearly room temp - always an excellent sign. If a ruby and a garnet had a baby, this wine would be the color - pretty remarkable, especially with a bit of outside light hitting the glass. Aromas and flavors of pomegranate, lavender, rose, violet and maraschino cherry (in a good way!). "Sweet," smooth, silky mouthfeel; balanced tannin (yes, in a Rosé) and acidity. This is not even close to its ultimate potential and it is a 4-year-old Rosé. Very glad I have more and will gladly wait another couple of years in anticipation of the next bottle, and maybe a couple more for the next... Yes, Maggie (the winemaker) worked at Sine Qua Non; yes, Maggie paid attention; yes, Maggie is now coming into her own - in a big way. I believe the Lillian and Antica Terra wines all need time in the bottle (3-4 years minimum), and when given that time they reward three-fold the cost (despite the price having gone up a lot in recent years).

  • Dark rose red rose, darker than any rose' I have seen before. Syrah. Aromatically dramatic, with rose, cherry, sea water and a sense of iron ore. Very structured, salty, metallic, with meaningful tannins. Expensive for rose, quite interesting. Earlier note writer said "winter rose'" and that says it well.

  • WOTN: Is it a summer syrah or a winter rosé? Served at 52 degrees with no decant. Exotic body, fine balance, structure, texture, and very pretty roses on the nose. Dinner party declared it "a trailblazer American wine." Total production was about 50 cases, if I remember correctly: aged 16 months. At $75, others may hesitate at the QPR, especially for a rosé, but I'm very happy to have four bottles left. An age-worthy American rosé. Really, quite something to experience. Recommend.

  • This is the best rose I've ever had. It is rich and complex. Buttery with some green apple notes for acidity. Big wine with a Long finish.

  • More bones than typical, is it more than you expect, can't say, just say, heavy on the dark fruit, reminds one of a kin to Burg, but when all is gone, no rush to replace.

  • WIML90

    Tasted non blind.

Raspberry color in the glass, fairly clear looking. Nose of perfume, rose petals and raspberries. Flavors of raspberries, berries and strawberries. Medium acidity, medium body. Drink or hold. I'd drink.

  • Not your typical Rose, much darker in color and weight. Still refreshing and nice fruit
