The wine is still young. It needed an hour in the decanter to open. Without the decant it was a bit disjointed with a relatively rough and astringent finish (87 points). After an hour it was rounding out and adding weight. Layers of red and black fruits were integrated and smooth. A little spice and sweet Oak added just enough to complexity to earn it at 90. I might not have given my prior tasting of this wine enough air.

Very smooth great red and black fruit up front with some spice, but then some Oaky astringency started to appear and the wine got a bit thin after mid palate. Drink up?

Perfect bottle. Young, purple and black, dense. Warm generous fruit. Blackberries, black cherries, herbs, liquorice, oak, a hint of coffee beans some olives. Even in the mouth this wine is very generous with lots of sweet fruit. But there is acidity enough to make it fresh and mineral enough to give it some sort of backbone. Good tannins, distinct but quite soft. Long finish. It is not an elegant wine, but very well made and a wine most people can enjoy. Very well made Gigondas that gives you lots of wine for your money. Perfect bottle to bring to the BBQ-party.

Perfect maturity. Dark garnet. Nose of flint and garrigue. Palate of wet stone and strawberries. Fully integrated tannins. What a treat!
