Decanted for 45 minutes. Dark berries and chocolate on the nose and palate. Tannins are well integrated. Drinking beautifully. Full bodied and pretty well balanced but somewhat pedestrian. A well made lush wine but lacking some depth. Still delicious though. Drink up.

Decanted for 30 mins and vigorously swirled. Modestly aromatic, elegant dark fruit accompanied by a slightly cloying finish with very firm and drying tannins. Simply outstanding for my palate.

Poured through an aerator and decanted. Big nose of jammy fruits with a whiff of ETOH. Inky purple in hue. Full bodied and big. Jammy dark fruits and dark chocolate with hints of espresso. The alcohol is present but not overbearing. This wine could use a long decant. For a 10 y/o cab it is drinking pretty well at the moment but could go about another 10 years. I'm going to sit on my holdings to see where this goes.

Nose: crushed blackberry, a little petroleum, red dark fruit generally, hint of blueberry like slightly baked cobbler style, wet leather, eucalyptus (but I often mix that up with the alcohol flavor). Taste: bright yet ripe cherry, pretty grippy tannins for the age but do not detract, cigar box, black tea, wet gravel. Tannins not fully integrated on not fine grained but again not to distracting. Finish: long but the herbaceous bitter tinge from those tannins comes more out in end.
88. But I don’t grade inflate. This is a pretty solid wine but don’t think it is worth the $73 CT calculated avg price but a great deal from Cameron Hughes as part of a vertical that had price of about $45.

This is a really dark, bold and powerful expression of hillside Cabernet. It is still youthful on the nose and tight on the palate. It is still very well structured, and is likely to do well for several more years.

Full bodied wine. Oaky, dark fruit, cedar and chocolade. Dry and soft tannins, complex with long aftertaste.

P/P with citrus and herbal notes to start; opens up quickly with smooth mixed berry and good balance. Not sure why this costs so much.
