Typical left bank aromas, but on the fruity side. Tobacco, leather, bark and rusty iron. Still tannic and a bit disjointed. This needs more time to handle the tannins, but I am not sure if the balance here is good enough for the long run.

Strong colour; stalky, under cut by that toffeed Merlot note; soft Merlot fruit, refreshing acidity; sinewy, grouchy finish. Best drunk soon.

Ordinary bordeaux. Good fruit, but lacking tannins.

Blind tasting of Grand Cercle wines 2011 vintage: Part I (Château Bellefont-Belcier): Somewhat hard, yet again. The tannin and acidity combine for a somewhat rough ride, lacking sumptuous fruit, and finishing a bit hard, but the mid palate has juiciness, begging the question: are we trying these at too early a stage ?!
