Still a superb bottle and vintage from Scott Harvey. Still has plenty of time left, so don't worry about this one if it's still in the cellar. Lots of fruit, some herbs, and a long finish. Very similar to my last bottles in '16 and '14. Wish I had more of this one! 90-91 pts.

One of the best SH reserve zins I've had. Refined and elegant with flavors of cherry and creamy chocolate. The soft mouthfeel really elevated this wine. It's drinking well right now, but it will be interesting to see how it is in a few years.

Plenty of cherry, superb mouthfeel, long lasting. Tobacco leaf and cloves. Juicy up front, drier finish causes mouth to water, keeping the taste going and going. Just a little acidity, enough to keep it from being flabby. Excellent! One of the best reserve wines from Scott, more on par with some years of his 1869. If you haven't tried Scott Harvey's Zins, Syrahs, and Barberas yet, you're missing out in a big way. 91 pts.

"Very berry" says my spouse. Bit of cedar aroma, blackberries. Aroma reminds me a bit of Pinot's from Oregon the year they had some fires in the Willamette valley. "Sweet" taste. Short swallow. No tannins that we noticed. I'd guess it was made in stainless steel. Not hot although 14.5%. This is from "Bowman's vineyard". These grapes seem to have been passed around quite a bit the last few years. I would drink this with spicy food actually. Pretty soft.

Good drinking wine. Not overly complex.
