Creamy, smooth and delicious. Reminds me of the Merry Edwards but more reasonably priced and I prefer it. Similar weight and texture but rounder and smoother. Consider it one of my better purchases in 2015.

"Ring in the Holiday Season" Dinner Party (La Jolla, California): With aromas and flavors of stone fruits, kiwi, melon and quince, this light yellow, light-bodied wine is enjoyable from start to finish. Although a bit more round than its 2012 brethren, it is still quite fresh and also manages to nicely integrate its alcohol (listed as 14.4%). Crisp and solid in the middle, it closes with a lengthy finish. This is yet another impressive showing for Crocker & Starr. Drink now-2017.

This straw/green wine offers a redolent nose and flavors of citrus, tropical fruits, wild flowers and (more subtle) mountain herbs. Light to medium-bodied, the wine has a complex attack, an unforgettable, creamy mid-palate and a crisp, mineral-driven finish. The label reads 14.4% alcohol, but there’s no discernible heat. It’s pedestrian in tasting circles to use the word “love,” but I love this complex, delicious and unforgettable wine. Sadly, at nearly $40 per bottle, this Sauvignon Blanc has a so-so QPR.

The most interesting and delicious Sauvignon Blanc that I have had, and well worth the price. Rich golden color. Lots of melon and citrus flavors, not much of the grassy notes that many others have. Very smooth.

Crystal yellow with medium viscosity in the glass. Citrus, green fields, white stone fruit, melon, honey, minerals and cashews on the nose. Med-lite body and structured with every kind of citrus and stone fruit imaginable. Slate minerals, uplifting acidity and greenness make it fresh and mouthwatering. Thin layers of vanilla, perfume and spice. Med-long finish. Solid QPR.

This light yellow/green wine offers enticing aromas and flavors of stone fruits, kiwi, honeydew and citrus. Light-bodied, freshly acidic and with excellent minerality, it somehow also manages to hide its alcohol (listed as 14.4%) quite well. A solid middle palate leads to a lengthy, crisp finish. Although relatively expensive for a California Sauvignon Blanc, this wine is worthy of its price. Drink now-2017.
