11 years down the road and this bottle was singing! nose of white flowers, stone fruit, and some citrus. on the palate the wine has some tropical notes along with pear, lemon curd, and just a touch of oak. one of my best bottles from this case so far..........developed nicely over an hour and half drinking window. medium straw yellow with precise balance and acidity. perhaps a little richer than prior years but what a finish.

Fairly consistent with previous bottle from March 2020. Wonderful nose, lemon, lime zest, herbs, Madagascar vanilla and brioche. Great balance, delicate but with enough dept of flavors. My last bottle and if I had more I would drink them this year. Last bottle was slightly better. Perfect example of California coastal Chardonnay

Nice medium gold-yellow color. Wonderful nose, lemon, lime zest, herbs, Madagascar vanilla, coconut and pie crust. Reminds me a bit of a lemon meringue pie. With air it opens up to some light floral notes. Excellent depth and flavours upon tasting it. This wine delivers from the first second all the way into a very balance flavour curve and finish! Not overdone or boring or flat in any way. Oak and alcohol seamless integrated. Lemon, green apples, and pear on the finish. This is outstanding and in its prime now!

this wine never disapoints. a touch lighter than the estate but a huge wine nonetheless. nose of lemon, hibiscus, and wet slate. on the palate, the wine is medium bodied with good acidity as is typical of the santa cruz appellation. there's fresh cream and lemon curd with a touch of minerality on the mid-palate. there's a sophistication here that one might take for a burgundy but this is west coast chardonnay at it's best. the wine has a long finish and a purity of fruit that is hard to come by. a great wine in its own right but a great value as well. almost 7 years old and it's just starting to show some signs of secondary flavor development. this is wine that must be aerated for an hour before you BEGIN to drink it. As you drink it over the next several hours the wine will continue to develop in the glass leaving you with a feeling of utter satisfaction. It paired wonderfully with panko baked fresh cod and a mussels muniere appetizer

Aromas of cream and lemon curd with a deft curl of oak. On the palate, full bodied rich penetrating fruit with a botanical twist, and a bitter lift at the back moving into a long acid finish. Satisfying with some depth.

I loved this as did my wife - great fruit with minerality & complexity you would expect from a White Burgundy. Will buy some more. This would appeal to both new world & old word Chard drinkers. 91-92.

Very light clear yellow. Medium intense slightly ripe Chardonnay nose. Smoke, lemon cream and spice. Just the slightest bit of ox. Delicious pure lemon and apple flavours. Refreshing dry lemon flavours.
The ripeness is only apparent in the nose.
Good but not the stunner the 09 was.

I was a fan of this, although my wife wasn't so sure of it. In my opinion the oak was well managed and didn't overpower everything else that was going on in the wine.
Lovely buttery feel in the mouth, gave it a rich body. Lovely sweetness, but a touch acidic. Although the acidity did soften, so maybe just served too cold.

Pop n pour, there's a dirty water dog thing going on that quickly dissipates, revealing some lemon curd. Palate is lean with old world focus. With some air, the oak starts to come out. It's clearly well made, but in an odd place. May be a tad cold, or just need some time to open up.
A forward expressive nose of toast, cream, lime, citrus rind, and white flowers. Broad splash of fruit on the palate with a crisp acid frame and a long singing acid finish. A lovely classic California Chardonnay, frank, open and perfectly balanced. 50 + 17 + 16 + 9.

Randoms at Flatiron (Flatiron, SF): Clear, bright, medium yellow, with reflections of straw. Lithe nose of taut yellow apples, ripe lemon and buttercream - well-integrated oak. Palate is long medium plus acid, just slightly elevated alcohol, medium plus body. persistent. Strong acid. Clean and ripe but with distinct mineral character on the palate.

Light yellow, good complexity, nectarine with a hint of lemon, a little oak, a little bit butter on the finish. A very nice Chardonnay. Our guests gave it high ratings.

This is lower and colder and has a loamy soil which gives the wine a richer aspect I am being told. 60% mount eden estate fruit. The old cinnnbar vineyard which was planted with Mount Eden clones.
Clean and crisper than the Big boy or the Wolff vineyard. But I kinda like the fattness of the others more.

Light greenish gold in color. The nose gives bright lemon, lime, and spice aromas. On the palate, white and yellow stone fruits, spices, and a pleasant salt lick flavor all start to become expressive with air. Nice texture, with soft, radiant fruit and a saline note that makes for a nice finish.

Expressive and elegant California Chardonnay that shows character, terrior, finesse, and structure. Pronounced toffee and lemon curd on the nose with nectarine, lemon zest, stone fruit pastry. Very saline middle palate with cleansing acidity and minerality. I quite enjoted the marmalade-like finish, which has good length and was almost tannic at times. I do think there is a disconnect between the very punchy oak on the front palate and the fruit which is lean and elegant. This is not unbalanced, however, it is just very much the style, which for me works. Excellent with pan-fried fish.

Light orange yellow. Pastry, cream, lemon curd, iodine on the nose. Simple crisp lemon fruit, nicely filled out on the middle palate with a slightly bitter edge at the back, medium finish. A lovely opening, a little disjointed in the end. 50 + 17 + 15 + 7.

Pale warm yellow. Rich nose of Meyer lemon, lemon rind and pastry. Nice acid attack on the front of the palate with a solid fruit core emerging towards the back and tingling acid finish, quite long. A lovely fresh California Chardonnay in the traditional style. 50 + 16 + 16 + 7.

50% from a property bought by Mount Eden in 2007, and 50% estate fruit. Clean nose, white flowers, citrus. Palate somewhat in between Burgundian and CA styles. Crisp, apple, pear, wet stone, acidity medium, medium body, fruit shows nicely but structure backs it up. Nice QPR.

Rich. Ripe. Some oak. Minerals . Medium bodied. Low alcohol. I love this wine every vintage. qpr is truly impressive. maybe the best pound for pound out of ca. I did like the preceding two vintages better but maybe this just needs a couple years. I would buy again for sure.

3rd Annual Game dinner with Grand Cru Bourgogne (Chateau de le Shane aka Shane's house in New Jersey): Drank before Shane's Game Dinner...medium lemon yellow. Very bright and fresh tasting with a citrus and light oak/vanilla nose and high acidity. Reminded me of village level chablis with lots of minerality, citrus curd and tense acid backbone.
