{Backfill order recently, 1 of 2 sourced, PopNPour slow decant over an evening}. My, traditional Corton! Very complete wine, austere fruit and stony minerals, has the overall balance, completeness, and complexity of a Grand Cru wine but needs more time. Recent notes here suggest others found the wine to be more forward than I found it. I may try to find more bottles; see no reason to open this for another 2-5 years. With time expect more aromatics, more secondary stuff ... maybe 1-2 points upside above this 92 rating.

Medium garnet colour, still nice acidity and good balance of structure. Cooked berries, Tar, leather falvours. Quite developped already for a grand cru of 8years.

Light red color in the glass. Fragrant, elegant aromas of strawberries & light cherry. Light-weight on the palate with soft, fine tannins. Seems to need time to add weight and fully integrate, but surprisingly approachable for a 2012 Grand Cru at this stage. A very pretty wine.

Similar to the last tasting experience, still young although I don't see much upside. Nice cherry fruit up front with a medium finish.

Still young with plenty of intensity and weight. Showing well but nothing explosive. 91-92
