Drunk on same evening as 2011 Cliff Lede Claret which is a good wine. But this is better. Nose with lots of dark red fruit, cassis and chocolate. On palate M acid, M alcohol, M+ tannins. Much More structure here. Medium to long finish. Still young. This can easily go another decade.

Found a 2010 at the local store. Was only able to give an hour decant but this is quite enjoyable now. A great Bordeaux style from Napa, well balanced with a nice tannin structure. I believe it’s equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. Decent QPR, ceiling is probably a solid 91. I’d say best between 2021-2024.

from a difficult vintage year. this does seem like one that could age well. will try another year. popped and poured. initial attack is good quality but the finish is rough without being harsh. faded after an hour.

This came as part of a mixed case and was my first experience with the wine. I may have simply been drinking a wine that needs bottle age too young, but I didn't see the characteristics of wine that would age well and didn't enjoy it at the time I opened it. It had very rough green tannins and lacked a finish. The mouthfeel wasn't bad, but neither the nose nor the taste was inspiring.

Has a bite and lots of pepper. It is a mouthful with that said, the wine is starting to break down a little.
