Crimson, medium legs. Muted aromas, flavors of blackberry, black currant, lead pencil; more pronounced are light toast, black pepper and clove. Wood tannins evident. Medium body, low acidity. The wine has a well-defined smooth texture. At $11, the QPR is above average. I will not hesitate to seek out more and future vintages. A fine example of a wine not released until it is ready. Drink now or up to 2019.

Decent crianza. Straightforward, with a bit of Rioja typicity and some refreshing bitterness on the finish. Cherries, black fruit, a bit fruitier than I like, but not overbearing. Good qpr for $11

ripe cherry and spice scents, soft, silky, almost a creamy weight, yet this is not a heavy red wine, it explodes with juiciness, cranberry, cherry and light leathery hints, not complicated but nice, really nice with aged cheddar on a hot burger

Straightforward with cherry palate but pretty decent for the price. Would by again. Very slight bitterness that mars the finish a bit or I would like more.

Black, slightly jammy nose. The palate has quite intense blackberry fruit which fades pretty fast once it leaves your mouth. Pleasant but nothing more but it's a CVNE entry level wine so as you'd expect.

The wine is clear and bright with a medium ruby colour.
The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of red fruit (strawberry), dark fruit (dark cherry), pungent spices (liquorice) and oak (cedar, coconut).
The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium(+) acidity. It has medium(+) fine-grained tannins and a medium(+) alcohol. It has a medium(+) body and medium(+) intensity flavours of red fruit (strawberry), dark fruit (dark cherry), pungent spices (liquorice) and oak (cedar, coconut). The finish is medium(+).
It is a very good quality wine. It has a perfect balance among all structural elements, concentrated flavours and a persistent finish. However a better example of this style would be more complex.
Can drink now, but it has enough tannic/acidic structure and fruit concentration to develop some tertiary aromas over the next 1-2 years.

Very poor indeed. I found nothing of interest in this wine. I drank a couple of glasses on the first night and it was unpleasant. I left the rest hoping it might open up. It did not. The last quarter of the bottle is going down the sink.
The bottle is not obviously flawed. This is simply just a bad wine.
dark cherry colour with lighter rim; very slow legs. nose: not intense; fruitycherries, red currants - some sweet and tart notes. taste: strong tannins, quite high acidity; woody, light finish. When openes becoming more aproachable.

Not the best of vintages in Rioja, one would suspect that the lion's part of the quality grapes went into the R and the GR. Not diluted by any means, yet I still miss the Cune Crianza of yesteryear, the good yesteryears, when it was bouncing full of fruit and mischief. This is an honest, well made entry point Cune, with good Rioja character. Red fruits, some savoury overtones, and good balance. It won't shake your world but it makes a decent companion for the traditional partners like lightly seasoned lamb and pork sausages.

Bright and fruity pleasant enough but better to step up and pay a bit more for the reserva.

Fresh berries, cassis and a little scorched earth. Simple palate of dark berries with a touch of charcoal and some cherry on the finish.

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle.
Only a little fruit and a slightly sour finish
