Based on reading other reviews, we felt that we were drinking a different wine: this had a pretty crimson color that is starting to show some bricking. Moderate nose -- some baking spices, a bit of cherry, smoke and cola. The notes of cranberries, cola, nutmeg and cinnamon were prominent. The wine was not showing as fresh as other vintages, and that may be because this is on the downslope or that this bottle was kept at a different location, in a slightly warm environment for a few years. Still a very nice wine.

Has developed very well and drinks beautifully now but could probably still develop at least five more years in the cellar. Beautiful red fruits, starting to mature but still feeling fresh and stingy. Still firm bite in the tannins. Great balance, on the feminine side for a US pinot. Sort of a mixture beetween chambolle and vosne.

1st of 2 bottles. A really nice Sonoma Coast PN, with a nose of cola, ripe raspberries, cough syrup, and wet leaves. The palate shows off a medium bodied wine, with some tart raspberry fruit, strawberry, road tar, leather, and soil flavors. The tannins are rounded and pleasant, and the acidity is moderate, giving the wine freshness and nice balance, showing a medium-length finish with red fruit and spice. Drink now through 2025+.

Medium red fruits with hints of earth and light notes of spices, framed with balanced acidity and just the slightest bit of tannin. Beautiful texture, like weighted water with no notes of alcohol/hot fumes. Lovely and elegant bottle of Sonoma PN with a few years of age and drinking well right now.

An ok wine but what drags it down is its price-tag. Quite full-bodied for a pinot. Raspberry notes, vanilla, oak on the nose. Drying finish. Needs food for sure. Better to buy the standard Hirsch pinot noir.

At 25 Lusk in SF w/Jim H, great food and decent wine list. Splash decanted and drank over an hour
Light, translucent ruby color. Nose was tight, some earth and dark fruits. Palate was bright red fruits, black tea, cranberry, fig. Medium, light bodies Pinot. tannins still a bit grippy, smooth and elegant finish. Paired nicely with both lamb and salmon at this dinner...
Should evolve over next 2-3 years and drink well for 5-7.

Quite a tight nose, just a little black fruits. Relaxes a bit in the glass. Powerful with sweets fruits, nice grip and good acidity. Good length across the palate. A lovely savoury character develops on the finish.

Nice ruby, slightly murky. Bright and brisk with cranberry, bing cherry, tea aromas. Nice acidity, very food friendly. Fruity. Reasonably long. From the list, Proof, DC.
