Light golden color. Fresh aromas of cinnamon, citrus blend, ripe golden apples, chalk, and brioche. Nicely balanced acidity, fine bead, precise flavors of subtle citrus, macadamia nut, and an abundance of apple and pear. Extremely satisfying!

Had the 2015 vintage last year and loved it. This is 2010, disgorged in 2014. Low dosage and reduced carbonation which makes it even more vinous. Very delicate aromas of almond, grapefruit even small sweet strawberries. Very fine mousse - almost like a still wine. Notes of honey, lemon peel, light chalk and still a bit saline. Very delicate overall, very precise and now more developed and toasty. A truly remarkable champagne w great length as well. Too bad its my last 2010

April 2014 disgorgement, 2010 base. Just a hint of pale pink color in glass. This is lovely. Chalky. Some Pinot berries on palate. Good depth and structure, softens a bit on the finish. There is a pleasing bitter note. As usual with Bouchard, the bubbles are soft. I think for best results would give this another 3-4 years of age.

Same experience as my note in October 2018. Disgorged in 2014. His single vineyard, single grape, single vintage really takes the expression of champagne terroir to a different level. 100% Pinot Noir, Ursules is from a single parcel of less than one hectare of the same name in the Côtes des Bars. Super vino like, aged in stainless steel, the long & slow secondary fermentation and bottling without dosage also support that expression. On the nose, very floral, crushed rocks and red flowers, on the palate, super expressive red berries, modest earthiness, orange blossom honey,

Disgorged in 2014. It is 100% Pinot Noir from the 0.9 hectare lieu-dit site Les Ursules. The first vintage bottling was in 2014. The soil is Kimmeridgian soil, which is unique type of soil found in eastern Loire Valley, southern Champagne and core Chablis region. I think that explains this unusual salinity and mineral touch of this wine/bubbles. On the nose, fresh red flowers, citrus foam, almond, light canadian honey, and modest toastiness, on the palate, very compact and complex layers of fruits, stony fruits, grapefruits foam, modest chalkiness and good balance of acidity, modest salted citrus peel, and minerality. Great wine. I appreciate his wine making philosophy - single vineyard, single grape varietal and single vintage with very low yields.

Bordeaux Wine Dinner (Wine Kitchen, SF): 2010 vintage, disgorged April 2014. Golden color; aromatic, yeasty, slight sweetness; palate has significant dosage and sweetness, nice freshness, integrated bubbles; medium-long slightly sweet finish. Lovely in a sweeter style. Drink my bottle in a few years. 91-92

Dekantert.

GMs - Kevin back in Town: Disgorged April 2014. Sea spray, orange, toast, smoke and pears. Lively acidity, with a touch of fruit sweetness to lightly round it out. Very fresh but has that toast to show the start of development. Great length and balance.

Delicious as with prior note; lovely nose of red apple, citrus, brioche, and chalk. The palate is rich yet fresh at the same time. Energetic and just delicious. Definitely with upside in the cellar.

Rik nese med blomster, modne røde epler, røyk, kirsebær, mandler, kokt pære, urter, lett honning og eddik. Skikkelig rik, moden frukt i munnen. Mye stoff, veldig konsentrert. Litt tung til Bouchard å være, samtidig som den har bra med friskhet og energi. Seriøs vin, som først kommer skikkelig til sin rett når temperaturen stiger og boblene forsvinner. 92p.

A nice effervescent and bold Blanc de Noirs. Actually decanted this for about 20 minutes prior to drinking. Reticent nose of mild yellow fruit. Full on the palate with heady notes of lemon drop, shaved ginger, and biscuit. Easy going sparkler. Not the richness or bold statement of a Bollinger Grand Anee', but a nice drink with Greek grilled prawns nonetheless.

We were introduced to this champagne by Nicolas, who is the most excellent sommelier at ON in Hong Kong. He was seeking a follow-up to the Emmanuel Brochet we sipped earlier. No easy task. We guessed it was Cedric Bouchard (one of our favourite "grower-producers") as he walked up with the bottle, but this was our first time sipping this heavy duty Pinot Noir that offers intense flavours and complexity. Ripe fruit aromas with an elegant, smoky finish. Did you say a middle age Sophia Loren? We dreamed of her...

lovely, light amber in colour. The nose is elegant with yellow and white flowers, lime, honey and chalk. the mousse is extremely fine and delicate. the palate is richer and denser than the nose suggests, with a solid core of mineral packed in sweet flowers, abricot, lychee, and elderflower. Finish is long and balanced. Although young, it is not sharp or tight, but does benefit from time in the glass to unfurl and is better served a tad warmer than normal for champagne. Lovely and elegant Pinot noir, with perfect balance

April 2014 Discorgement. We did not get this champagne. Had all the right hallmarks to begin but sort of lacked presence, was flabby and with no structure. Felt a touch too sweet at times as if it had residual sugar/dosage gone out of hand and did not excite. 88

I did not enjoy this as much as other tasters, finding it quite austere without the complexity or power to make up for it. Cinnamon and apple.
