A quality wine. Reasonably prominent nose, led by mid red fruit. Palate is mid weight, fresh lift, good acidity, present tannins. Relatively dry, the fruit is there, but not prominent. With time in the decanter graphite emerges, more CS typicity. Mid length finish. Excellent w food (Elk entrecote). Nothing that stands out, but whole greater than the sum of the parts.

Dark, ruby red. Balanced and fairly complex nose with dark fruit (black current, plums), leather, cigar box and spicy and a little fiery finish.
On the palate the wine is mediumbodied plus, with a lovely, balancing acidity, soft but structuring tannins and a fair amount of dark fruit. This is a good mouthfilling bordeaux with good length and finish that will hold for several years yet.

Deep ruby red with garnet edges. Layered nose with leather, red cherries, black currants, and gravel. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium plus body. Dark berries on the palate with tobacco, gravel, plums and herbs. Long finish. Drink till 2028.

Deep purple. Austere, solid and dry. Dark cherries, blackberries, plum, tobacco and leather. Medium body, medium acidity and tannins that dry your palate. I would had expected a tiny bit more fruit but still a solid wine. NI:4, FI:22, FC:8, B:3, L:4

Opened my last bottle and this is showing much better than the previous bottle. This wine has one of the prettiest nose of any wine I've ever had. When you drink the wine, you get the blackberry/black currant flavors, juicy acidity, but just as soon as you try to enjoy it, the flavors disappear from your palate. I would to try another vintage of this as a comparison.

Dark garnet and translucent. Slow legs when swirled around. Fragrant on the nose with hints of blueberry jam, tobacco leaf and mint. Austere palate with grippy tannins and a short finish.

I bought this for about US$30 on a shop keeper's recommendation. It tastes of red fruits with savoury edge. No tertiary notes. The acidity level is rather high and tannins are medium(+) at most. Body is medium(+).
It tastes noticeably better after spending 1 night in the fridge (vacuum pumped), which allows very slow and gentle oxidation that helps develop the flavours in better balance.
There is nothing special about it. But if you are looking for a decent and affordable every day Bordeaux that goes reasonably well with food, then this is not a bad option.

Again a nice 2011, which can be hard to find, cases, minerals, dark cherry and earth. Silky palate with a medium finish. Makes me want to try the regular bottling now...

Ruby red color with some black glitters in the center. A brambly note in the nose of dark reddish fruits. I know this is not from a heralded vintage, and I'm drinking the second wine...but it's a nice young wine already. Cranberry flavored tannins as grippy but velvety smooth on day one with 4 or 5 hours air.

Tasted black berry / currant up front and a hint of licorice. Smoothed out with a taste of tobacco. Medium body.

Drinking really well, let stand for about 30 minutes. This is a big wine but well balanced, if I didn't know better I'd say it was new world.

Deep and rich. Delightful black fruit smells, a bit of earthiness. Fantastic value.

Very nice. Was able to get for $27. For that price, it was a steal. Enjoyable, dark fruits, tannins have mellowed, nIcw finish.
