Has really opened up in intensity and flavor over the past two years. What started out as a soft Chilean melange Bordeaux blend has shattered like a mirror into better lights of fleshy currant, blackberry, red plum, and a swirl of rich alcohol on the finish. Has ripened with aging with a touch of cassis and eucalyptus and French Oak on the the finish in a medium - full bodied profile. I like the richness and fruit of this wine....although a bit unraveled after two hours the wine is starting to denigrate. Enjoy now

Nothing special (and not too memorable as I can't recall enough what it tasted like to comment on it a day later) but still a decent wine. Better values can easily be found in this price range but you could do a lot worse, too. Meh...

Carmenere/Cabernet/Syrah/Petit Verdot. Nose shows fresh black fruit and pepper, some sour earth, licorice. Palate is quite expressive, immediate fruit layers, juicy blackberry, spice, blueberry, earthen tones, kind of a crowd pleasing style with it's up front wow. Medium plus alcohol finishes a little hot, acidity medium. Fun wine, and nice QPR.

Pop and drink. Deep ruby color with light purple rim. A little bit shy on the nose, barely smell any fresh fruits, smokey, new terra cotta, mineral, loads of oak. On palate it's dry, medium to full body, extract black fruits, licorice, bitter dark chocolate, toasted oak, smokey. To me it's over oaked, not easy drinking. Strong bitter tannin and medium plus finish with smokey wood, some red fruits. Very concentrate, need foods.

ripe aromatic nose? Almost opaque color. Some tropical fruit, cloves and cola. Another balanced new world wine that has a cola/root beer nuance. I've encountered this nuance in Italy, Cali, Australia and now chile. This characteristic transcends site and varietal. Mid palate was weak.

Spectacular value sub $20/bottle. Not sure this will age well but it is drinking very well right now. Dense nose of ripe fruit that is dominated by plumbs and cherries with a sage and dark roast coffee bean finish. Tough to pick out the varietals but, as the name suggests, it tastes like a pretty aggressive blend of many. Palate is consistent is the nose, the texture is round with modest acidity and licorice finish. 5+12+16+8=91

A bit of air uncovers scents of cherries, plums, oak, and spices. The palate is mid-to-full bodied, with black mountain fruit, a hint of medicinality, and a little hard candy action. Bitter chocolate and minerals on the finish.

Nice stuff - medium plus body, a dry and heavy front-palate, some subtle dark fruit, then Moroccan spice on the finish. A bit dryer than I was expecting, but pleasantly so. Would definitely buy this again especially for the price.

Medium-deep ruby in color. Very ripe and refined on the nose, with luxurious, plump, slightly stewed fruit aromas of black currant, plum, mulberry, and blueberry, as well as generous, smoky-spicy oak notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, dark chocolate, and pipe smoke. Identifiably a Bordeaux blend, but clearly in a modern, New-World style. Comes across as much more expensive than it is on the nose. Much the same on the palate, with impressive concentration and intensity of fruit married to a pleasant medium to full bodied frame and nice tannin structure. It finishes a bit hot though, and the oak isn’t as well integrated as it could be, leaving some bitter woodiness that gets in the way of the fruit and spice. It has pretty good freshness considering the level of ripeness and the extraction, though I suspect that comes from acidification.
Just a bit heavy handed overall for me—a bit too ripe, a bit too extracted, a bit too much oak. But considering the quality of fruit, the cleanliness and concentration, and the obvious expense in winemaking methods, it represents very good value in this style. I can remember plenty of full-throttle cabs and cab blends at twice the price that I’ve enjoyed less than this.

12 months in French oak, 25% new. 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Carmenere, 25% Syrah, 15% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdo Aroma Expressive and aromatic with notes of blackberry, strawberry and blueberry, mixed with hints of cinnamon, clove, pepper, rosemary and bay leaf. Flavor Elegant, with flavors of plum and strawberry enveloped in a soft and velvety texture. This wine has fresh acidity and round, well integrated tannins that provide a lingering finish.

Nice balance, still tannic with notes of dark berries. An excellent value after all these years

Big chewy wine. Blue fruit. Pepper. I'm also getting some heat on the backend. Finish is medium with a pepper finish. Not terribly interesting.
