{Visit to Cascina Morassino} A pop n pour, that is wow-worthy right out of the gate. A light garnet core, clear. A classic, but also knockout nose that is ripe, but stays in bounds. The entry confirms the nose - seamless, elegant, fresh, (sweet core of) red fruited. Still quite tannic, this displays very good acidity and a purity and depth of fruit that will carry this in to the next decade with ease. Best in 8-15 years. 14,5% abv (fully resolved), highly recommended
The grapes for this wine were harvested earlier than most, a rarity for this particular vintage.
