This wine is gorgeous. We were worried bc the cork practically disintegrated beneath the wax seal. It was very difficult to get the cork out and we had to strain it before decanting. However, it was worth cellaring for a decade. The wine is light but complex, with a floral nose, bright cherry notes, and fine tannins. Open the bottle, pray you don’t have a crumbly cork, but then linger and enjoy!

Popped and poured. Tracked development in the glass.
Ruby red on the lighter side of medium.
Moss and baking spice on the nose. Some red fruit. Good intensity.
More red fruit on the palate, of a stewed character, but still rather juicy and scrumptious thanks to bright acid. Good concentration. Moss, savory herbs, baking spice. Some bittersweet toffee in the back. Tannins integrated but not fully. Long finish.
Great wine, good concentration and lovely acid. I love swirling it in my mouth. It’s missing something though—it’s not a haunting wine and it never will be.
Looking back, I would slow-ox this for two hours.

Has improved quite a bit from when I had this three or four years ago. Medium bodied, rich red fruit flavors along with a bit of blueberry. Had with filet mignon and was a great match.

Big for a PN. Dark maroon color. I smell ripe plums and blueberries and bay. On the palate, a spicy tannic tingle. Thyme, fresh chilis, ripe berries. Med-long finish.

Opened two hours before drinking. This is drinking beautifully. I found the nose a bit muted but the elegance of red fruits and the balance of this wine made this the best Pinot we have had this year and probably in the last year or two. Nicely done, Maggie!

Red cherry, red berries, earth and light spice notes on the nose. Medium bodied with very pretty, bright red cherry upfront, adding more and more black cherry and then blackberry notes through the mid-body. After being open for about three hours, the mid-body really starts to shine as the mixture of upfront red cherry and brightness contrasts really well with the depth of blackfruit notes through the middle. Fine grained tannins, tart red cherry and acidity provide structure and balance. This wine is already showing very good integration, to the degree that the mid-body has great integration and roundness. Should continue to show well over the next 2-3 years and I will look for some more.

Cherry and allspice nose. Acquires some earthy notes after an hour or so. OK balance, but still a little tight. Paired well with duck. Drinks fine now, but will likely benefit from a few years in the cellar. Probably better QPR out there, but good reference for Oregon Pinot in my opinion.

The nose is quiet on this wine but explodes on the palate. Wild strawberry, rose hips and a hint of lavender. Well balanced acidity and an incredibly long finish. Excellent example of what a Williamette Valley Pinot can achieve

The wine is medium bodied with subdued spice. Not the prettiest Pinot I have had, but certainly one of quality. The QPR is too high. The wine opens up with subtle fruit an I thought it was a dud. It developed over the next few hours into something enjoyable. I would give it at least a four hour decant. It is obviously well made, but either I should have kept it for more years which is what I will do with the remaining bottle.

Splash decant then back in the bottle for two hours before serving. Elegant but with prototypical earthy notes on the finish. Crowd favorite.

Needs another few years, but this is already amazing. Deep cherry flavors, with wonderful earthy and saline characteristics.
