Bright red colour (note that wine bottled under screw cap). Mineral, fruit-stone rather than fruity, red rather than black. Palate is similar, very dry finish with nice tannins. Given the age, holding up really well.

This is a fairly fruity wine. The nose shows no depth or interst. Smells of burnt rubber and cherry. The taste is very fruity - strawberry and cherry. It is very fruit forward and does not show any character or depth. Okay with a meal. I don't think it is getting any better. Drink now.

A reasonable wine -- nothing big or dramatic. Interestingly, it did not change through the bottle. Often, such wines benefit from a little air time. I have two more bottles -- we will see. Don't think it will improve much with age.

I am a big fan of La Vieille Ferme. Granted, it's simple, but it's a great everyday wine, easy to drink and which will enhance many types of food, thanks to its mouth watering acidity. It's light bodied, without being thin or hollow. It will withstand a couple of days sealed in the fridge. No problem. Interestingly, I had a couple of 04's that were overly funky (dog poop smell), but that was not the case here, though the eartiness was there and a little bit of breathing helped. The 05 is great too.

Pleasing for the price with blackcurrent and cherries on nose and palete, misssed the ethanol some commented on, spicy peppery, savoury, easy drinking, ...glug, glug, its all gone

Earthy and dry, subtly spicy and soily, smooth but with a pronounced acidity matched well with salmon in mole sauce. (sauce bought in mexican restaurant)

For $8 bucks this delivered some nice rustic fruit . Not sure of the food pairing though. Didn't seem to go with the blue cheese part of the tortilla dish Michael came up with for dinner, but it went nicely with the ham hocks and beans. Kept well, vacuvinned, for the second day.

Very simple, quaffable, good QPR wine. Bright red fruits on the palate and nose, as well as a touch of floral, almost Beaujolais-like quality. Fine for an every day wine.

Deep purple, bright. Fresh fruity nose dominated by raspberries and strawberries. Follows through to palate - beaujolais like but with slightly more acidity. Simple but pleasant quaffer. Ideal bbq material.

Strawberries and ethanol on the nose. Light, cranberry jelly on the palate. Nothing on the finish except heat. Fine as a diluted ribena-type quaffer but nothing more.

Not a bad start with a nose of tart red fruit, some tar and a funky whiff of the peleton as it heads up Mt Ventoux. (How's that for terroir?) Unfortunately this is far beyond light on the palate as the faint fruit, tar and gamey/funky sensations drop off to nothing on the mid-palate with very little finish. Too bad because I was really excited about the screw cap and the cool retro-frenchy old farm chickens on the label.

Light cranberry; slightly gamey, sweet cherries, strawberry jam; fruity, light-medium body, good acidity, some structure, short finish. Good value @ $9.55. Good company wine with pizza or pasta.

I didn't like this wine as much as a thought I would, although I did think it had a fairly nice aftertaste.

Very quaffable, an everyday drinker. Takes about 30 mins at least to open up - needs to be decanted.

Drinkable, nothing to hhate. Decent flavors up front, not much on the back. Worth the $6.59 I paid but very basis table wine for the in-laws.

Not unlike a Beauj. Crunchy fruit and bubblegum nose. Good acidity. Quite zingy. Pleasant everyday glugger / mid-week food accompaniment, but no more.
