I do not agree that this was corked, but it was definitely not a correct bottle. Notes of red berries and Wyler's beef bouillon cubes. As Miss Haggis noted, it smelled "salty." This particular bottle was definitely over-the-hill.

Dinner with Friends (Oswego): Popped & poured. Notes of briary red fruit, cherry and currants. Medium-bodied, with flavors of red currants, pepper and spice. Shortish finish.

Muted nose but shows some pepper, lavendar and game. Decent mouthfeel, somewhat muted dark fruit, more pepper and a little earth. Decent effort but hasn't really evolved much after an hour in the glass.

Tasted from the Vintage Wines, Ltd. wine bar. Deep ruby with red rim. Clean and very intense nose, showing black pepper, asphalt, licorice, blackberries and dust. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, with ample, slightly dry tannins and similar flavors as for the nose. Long, slightly dry finish.
