This has held up well and starting to develop some tertiary spice notes. But this is fresh and crisp with loads of citrusy acidity. Lemon/lime. Not a wine for deep thinking but enjoyable and just enough going on to keep my interest.

Flavors were a mixture of honey, green apple, and chocolate. There was a background nonspecific dense flavor that resolved with exposure to air. The body/acid was moderate but on the lower side compared to many of the other Chenin Blancs I've had..

Rich and expressive. Yes, a thoroughly puckery, aromatic white with saliva-inducing acidity that keeps going and going. There's an aggressive side, a grassy herbal edge, that will make this wine not for everyone but very well grown for its category. With its sharper characteristics I'd likely pair with oysters.

The nose was wonderfully expressive with ripe pear and apple up front, followed by floral tones, lime and chalky minerality. On the palate, a sweet and sour act of green apple, citrus and spice dazzled the senses. A last thrust of minerality and sour apple lasted on the mouthwatering finish.

Very pale color, really hardly any color at all. Fresh, juicy apple fruit with tangy acidity and good length. Best served cold. A well-made, pleasant quaff but there's not much depth or complexity here, and at $25+ there's a lot of Vouvray/Moutlouis sec that is much more interesting and serious.

The Traveling Brisket and Helmet Show: light apple, some honey. mid is filled with ripe fruit - touch of tropical notes. has a streak of catty - sheu note. refreshing, friendly wine. What's not to love? Day 3 update - less exuberant fruit. but the mid is more balanced - reading more chenin now and less sav-like. nice long finish with an herbal touch. would gladly drink this all summer long.

I picked this up on my repeat visit to the winery with Charles. Drank this with The Count and Jay at a BBQ dinner. This was the starter wine. Some minerals. A hint of fruit. Really smooth and elegant. Everyone liked this wine. I'm sorry that I only have one bottle left. Drink now or hold.

Fantastic Chenin from Long Island. Great fruit on the nose and pallet. A touch of sweetness. Very viscous and deep. Great white!!

This was like a totally different wine than my first bottle. Totally bright citrus, Apple and pear fruit. Lively acidity. Got better over 3 days.

A long beautiful afternoon at the vineyard (Paumanok): understandable why this has been such a popular wine. Very nice.

Year in and year out, just a great bottling. My favorite domestic Chenin and, frankly, one of my faves from anywhere.

Clear pale straw. Honey, apricot, plastic. Slightly sweet, medium acids, no tannins. Pear. Short slightly acidic finish. Tasting room.
