Candied cherries and light smoke on the nose. Red to brick edges giving its signs of maturity. Tawny fruit with touch of oak lingers to a long finish. Still has strength to mature but definitely a silver fox in a bottle.

This was much more balanced than I had expected from the reviews. Alcohol maybe coming somewhat strong through, but tasted good just as is, and work well with a steak out of top-notch beef, too. Left a much more "classy" feel than expected.

Lots of ripe berry notes on the nose with a touch of tobacco. Pretty good weight on the palate and there's a flavor that reminds me of juicy fruit gum that would normally be a little weird but here it somehow works. Still pretty tannic on the back end but fairly enjoyable.

This was a big fruity Cab, with a rich softness that made it quite approachable from teh get go. Dark chocolate, blue & black fruit and chewy earthy goodness made this a lovely drinking wine

Excellent wine. Beautiful rich nose of ripe black fruits. Very soft and supple, especially for Howell Mountain. Nice finish with moderate tannins. Only 13.8% alcohol.

Rich and lush, with forward black cherry followed by plum and currant. Soft tannins. One member of our group called this "syrupy," but I didn't think so at all. Wish I had bought more.
