Rather soft and subdued on opening, but improved with more contact with air and after a few days in the refrigerator. Elegant, quiet and subtle compared to the Von Simmern Marcobrunners I am more familiar with, which are fruitier and racier but perhaps less elegant. The sweetness is modest and very well balanced, especially for a Spätlese. Recommended.
