  • PNP into Zalto Damijan glass (“Root” day): Medium bright copper to the eyes.

Savoury, juicy and mature but high toned stone fruits like apricots. Honeyed/slightly preserved apricots.

Great palate concentration and good intensity of flavours. Good length.

    93 points to me.

  • From memory. Cloudy iced-tea orange. Nose of dry flowers, pommes fruits, and gravel. The palate is surprisingly light-handed, white fruits, tannins, and minerals make it very refreshing considering relatively low acid. The finish is medium-long. This wine was best just lightly chilled, enjoyed with steelhead trout and then roast chicken. A versatile wine which would be a great routine drink if not for the price.

  • Opened right out of cellar. Took about 30 minutes to come around. Drank nicely, but I think it is time to drink this up. Second bottle a few nights later was superb, with no signs of decline. Chalk up first bottle to bottle variation.

  • This is the firs time I'am drinking this type of wine (unfiltered white) and I find it very unusual. I imbibe it with stewed duck and I was very content with this wine.
It is unclean with little crust, deep orange color. What I liked most was sweet floral nose, like desert table wine, but taste was plane with little bit aside. In conclusion I would like to add that next time I see this wine in wineshop I'll definitely buy it.

  • Light orange with a cloudy, almost opaque color. Thie first time I ever had this wine, and I was disappointed. There were complex note of granite and flint, but the center was very hollow and I really had to search for the parts I liked. It just seemed sort of flabby and dead. Maybe just a bad bottle or past its time.

  • Last tasted in July of 2009. Fabulous wine. Cloudy, amber color, with multiple layers of minerals and complexity. Evolves sip by sip with a 45 second finish. A joy to drink. I do not subscribe to a point rating system. if you have never had a Radikon wine and you enjoy old word, purely made wines, you will love this wine.

  • "Orange" Wines (white grapes fermented w/extended skin contact) (The Jug Shop, San Francisco, California): Light orange color with slight cloudiness; intriguing, VA, tart orange, clementine, mineral, green herb and smoke nose; tasty, tart, tight orange, tangerine, mineral palate with tangy acidity, tart tannins and a tart mint note showing toward the medium-plus finish 91+ pts.

  • Wonderfully fragrant, stone fruit, marmalade, spice, spice and the wildest orange/amber color. This possesses moderate complexity and actually developed very little over a 2-3 hour dinner. There is definitely some grip and astringency on the finish, and more stone fruit and floral flavors. While i really like this wine i was a bit let down, maybe my expectations were to high. The mouth actually seemed to close over the 2 hours? Even though it was complex, it didn't change or evolve and had a singularity ( i know complex and singular at the same time?...bare with me!) that made it monolithic. This wine was much tighter than i had imagined due to its lack of evolution, high acidity and phenolic character. I would recommend tasting this on opening and then splashing this immediately into a decanter for a day, i'd love to see if this would allow for some more evolution of flavor and texture. Truly wild wine that was fascinating and unique, pretty horribly overpriced and seems in need of age or a couple days in the decanter-I'd happily drink this on someonee else's dime next time.
