On the palate are spiced, crisp and fresh white stone fruits, a pleasant minerality, and dried straw. Loved how dry this was while maintaining a good showing of fruit. Drinks very nicely with nothing being off-putting.
This is a nice gem for what you pay for.

Charming, if somewhat rustic BdB. Aggressively coarse bubbles that seemed more domestic sparkler than Champs, that left the wine more flat than not after 10 mins in glass. Perhaps partly due to scratches in my flute, but seemed more aggressive than any bubbles I’ve had recently. Compensated by finely delineated lemon peel, Granny Smith apple, and a Mack truck full of chalk and savory seaspray - the cliffs of Dover immediately come to mind.

Popped yesterday. Notes from Day 2 open. This is a stunning btl of Trepail BdB. Easily as good as Leclapart's L'Amateur. I realized my first several notes are not for the BdB Vielles Vignes, but for the 1er Cru Vielles Vignes, but those are the same wine afaik. Anyway, spectacular.

Very nice and a solid buy in Champagne. Best on the first night. This has fine bubbles with modest persistence and on the second night the fruit became a bit disjointed (but still drank well).

Champagne Flight (K&L Wines, San Francisco): Yellow, very lively. Ginger and green apple. Light, elegant, fresh, and mineral with a touch of a lactic note as well. Good, dry, lemony. Had never encountered this producer before.

We had this before and during dinner (grilled flank steak) on 4/4/15. It had a great bouquet of lemon zest, brioche, apple, vanilla and mineral aromas. The palate was fresh, crisp and very tasty with flavors of lemon, apple, creme fraiche, vanilla and chalky minerals.

Champagne and Sonoma tasting; 8/4/2023-8/5/2023 (K&L Wine Merchant - San Francisco): Nose of gentle stone, light fruits, and an airy yeasty note. Light but enticing aromas.

So refreshing interesting and easy to drink especially after a number of fairly intense reds.

I'm not a big BdB fan, but this one was lovely. Not tart at all like some young BdB's. Good acidity, chalk combined with subtle apple.

Pear, granny smith apple. Light toast, lime and sea air. Refreshing acidity that made this hard to not just gulp down.
