  • Has opened up a lot since the last time. My two bottles in January, 2017, were quite well received by connoisseurs and laypeople alike. Don't remember the specifics besides, of course, cherries.
    Balanced, no steelyness anymore.
Very good qpr for a burgundy.

  • Needs an hour of aeration. After that, the nose is full of sweet and ripe red berries, grapefruit? prunes? spices? and a bit of beef.
Attack is quite acidic, then slightly sweet, a feel of steel on the tip of the tongue. A slight forrest-floor-like stinkiness. Mid-palate shows firm tannins.
Medium-length finish shows more acidity, grapefruit and prune.

My impression is, it is quite closed still. And judging from the acidity, it will hold for another few years. I don't have the experience to predict how many.
