Lost some color over the years. A quite alcoholic Barolo, but it carries a lot of flavor. On the nose you get some plum and berries. A little hint of oak. The structure is super fine and the acidity quite restrained, but overall a very nice mouthfeel. The tannins are still present, but not overwhelming. It tastes of fig and dried fruits. You get some sweet spices and a bit of stone/mineral character. Great paring with meet.

Reasonable Barolo, that hits the middle of road. Has the balance of fruits and acid and the tannins are subdued making it approachable earlier. Drink now and can keep for 2-3 years as plenty of acid and fruits to keep.

Solid, everyday Barolo, not pricey and always a pleasure to crack this and just sip this with cut meats and cheeses ! Not a big or complex wine. Its sister wine - The Sarmassa Barolo is superb and much concentrated.

Classic, beautiful Barolo, lots of power, noble, mineral with beautiful fruit, very good for this price range, long finish and good ageing potential. Will be even more complex and harmonious in 2 - 3 years, will keep for another 10 years. 91 - 93 points.

Right off the cork pull that smells super floral and red fruited. Definately an '11. Scott says it smells like olives. I don't get that at all. Powerful mid palate. Deep structure.

Nice fruit, leather and roses. Pure but perhaps a bit thin on the nose. Young, rough tannins, big structure and too young at the moment. A bitter note in the aftertaste that disturbs.

Trengte overraskende mye luft for å åpne seg. Nesten bedre neste morgen. Klassisk Barolo. Fin frukt og syre, lang utgang.

Full forward and fruity with plenty of raisin fruit, some chocolate and a bit of tar. There's fresh acidity giving the wine good lift and vibrancy.

The classico - the one made with three appellations. Open yesterday, roughly. Sweet and rich on the mid palate, with powerful tannins.
