Popped and poured at La Buvette. Dark garnet with an opaque core. No visual signs of age. Consumed over three hours. Initially reticent but after about 30min, it started to show off. On the nose, dark cherries and cocoa. On the palate, dark chocolate cherry cordial, espresso and baking spices. Tannins built up over time and there’s fantastic acidity. Lovely stuff and seems built for the long haul. A super Bandol on the heels of Tempier and Pradeaux.

Second Sunday Group: Bandol (Frank's): Double blind. Aromas of dark berry fruit, cherry and sandalwood. Flavors of dark fruit and dill- jammy. Medium+ tannins. Develops a plastic chemical aroma and turns a bit sour on the finish.

Monthly Tasting Group EEE #045; Provence plus a sweet pirate (@ BD): The bouquet is a bit rustic with cherries, leather, chocolate and herbs and spices. On the palate a slightly sweet start with ripe dark cherries, blackberries and some ripe red berries. Herbs and spices again. Good acidity and round tannin. Still youthful and can easily last until 2020+. 87+

Nice decent wine. Provence garrique. Nice flavours. Drink now since it won’t get better.

Nice flavours. Could have been a developed C9dP. Nice drinking now since it is fully mature.
