  • Mature citrus, oily, soft, long aftertaste. Very ok to enjoy without food. A very good wine fore small money.

  • Banana, pear, and wet stone on the nose. Lime and pear on the palate with nice acidity and saline notes. A nice bottle of wine. Bottle #508018.

  • Light, golden straw colour. This is an enjoyable mix of stony, tropical fruit and mouth-puckering lime and saline notes. The time in bottle has definitely softened (just a bit) the acidity and added a nutty, almost praline edge to the body. Long, sappy finish; this could definitely see 2-3 years, would be interested to see how those nutty textures could develop further. ***1/2

  • Appearance: Clear wine with a medium lemon colour, golden/green reflections.

Nose: Clean nose with a Medium+ intensity. This wine is youthful.

Complex Albarino on the nose - Lilies, Jasmine and Honeysuckle combine to make a beautiful floral note backed up with the freshness of green appleskin and lemon citrus. Under-ripe pears, honey and peaches form the body of the bouquet with just a hint of stony minerality.

    Palate:
    Dry
    Medium- Alcohol
    High acidity
    Medium+ intensity
    Medium body
    Medium+ finish

The palate reflects the gripping acidity of this wine, with strong, clean and fresh citrus and stone fruit coming through. The minerality only hinted at on the nose is confirmed and adds an extra element to this wine. Elegant, creamy and balanced, this is excellent Albarino if a little more complex and tropical due to the addition of Loureiro and Caiño Blanco.

Excellent quality Albarino - to be drank now and in great quantities. At only 11 euros a bottle, one of the best value for money wines I have had the pleasure of drinking.

  • Medium intensity, lemon green color.

Youthful nose with a medium intensity. Aromas of mixed stone fruit, green pear, candied lemon, melon peel, chalk dust and a grassy herbaceous note.

Dry, medium acidity and body. Round and a bit oily mouthfeel. Medium intensity with flavors of stone fruit, lemon juice, green pear and yellow apple. The finish is medium(+).

This wine is open and charming right upon opening. Not very deep or complex but great balance and length. I haven't tasted a lot of Rías Biaxas but this one is truly one of the best I've had. Should be consumed in it's youth so drink within a year. Great QPR at €17!

  • Bottle #280031. The wine was intense lemon in colour and offered ripe apple, lemon, peach, green asparagus, oyster shell and smoke on the nose. The medium-bodied wine was very salty on the palate, with lemon, yellow apple and oyster shell flavours, complemented by lemon effervescent powder on the finish, with medium-plus acidity, a pleasant bitterness and very good length. Very different in style from a typical Albarino-driven white from Rias Baixas; phenolic, extracted, more weighty and less fresh. 88+ for now.
