Complete different from my last bottle of 8 years ago. Evolved very well , now much more balanced, less powerful, nice red fruits, cherries, coffee, savory with nice acidity

Decanted for 40 mins. Very nice nose of red berries and lilacs, very aromatic on the nose, yet elegant. The palate follows with elegant red berries, reaching the end of its peak, good tannins, just excellent with grilled lamb entrecote. I would not be keeping this for much longer in the cellar, drink up in the next couple of years!

G5 - Variety is the Spice of Life (Juliette): Blind. Stewed red fruit nose and a whiff of heat. Can see the resembles to zin in the fruit profile. Rough and tumble with oak and tannins battling it out. Tongue feels coarse at the finish and the texture is coarse.

Didn't care for this wine at all. Poured blind. Reminds me of some of the early and mid-decade 2000 wines from CA, showing lots of spicy, hot, aggressive, boozy markers in both the aromatic and palate, then what seemed to be some intrusive wood.

dark red color , at the beginning I thought it was Amarone , dark fruit , cherry , chocolate , full bodied with fine tannins , powerful wine. It need maybe a couple of year in cellar.

Decanted for about 30 mins. Mmm, very good aromas, floral, lilac, delicious, red fruit, even a bit of cola. The palate is wonderful, excellent lingonberry, excellent acidity, tannins that coat the tongue, this is really brawny now, but there is great potential down the road. Wow, been holding on to this for over a year, but been wanting to taste it. Really good now and will leave my second bottle for another few years to see what happens.

Served blind. We managed to guess Zinfandel (even though it is probably a quite old relative). Very nice structure and elegance. A very pleasant surprise.

Dark, deep ruby colour with a purple shade and high on sediments. A pronounced nose, very rich and layered for a single varietal wine; damson and ripe black cherry notes accompanied by sweet spices and blackpepper all under a cedary frame. It is full and tannic but rich in fruit on the mid palate with good acidity. Quite early to drink. This will get better in a couple of years and has a good potential to aquire a rich bouquet over time. Serious wine from Croatian star grape Plavac Mali, a cross between Dobricic and Crljenak (Primitivo/Zinfandel) both of which do not exist as wine grapes anymore commercially.
