Perhaps not fair to pop this one the day it was delivered, but it is what it is. First, I was surprised how light the coloring was - it looked more like 47% Grenache and 18% Syrah rather than the other way around. Light brick red. The complexity of the blend tasted more Rhone-like than California (not a bad thing). For the price I paid, a great value.

Very boozy but not hot, You notice the alcohol more in the viscosity. A lovely red color, with sweetness matched to almost enough acidity. Very rip strawberries, black cherry ice cream, and strawberry jam.
TLDR: An easy drinking, sweet fruited, medium bodied GSM

Very nice, Syrah-heavy blend; it lacks the intense fruit tannins you expect from California Syrah, super smooth and delicious. Just amazing qpr. Drink now.

Like this bottle better than the 2012 vintage. Grenache nose...grapes, floral. Fresh flavors, medium weight, very smooth and drinkable. Enjoyable quaff, not overly complex.

Shriveled dark fruit, cassis, and spices over aromas of scorched earth, cedar, and tar. Bright and vibrant, really easy to drink, with absolutely no heat from the high ABV. Repeats the tar theme on the back end, with tasty oak spice on the long finish.

Short decant. Lots of fine sediment in the last few mL. Alcoholic and heavily extracted, but nicely perfumed with black cherry, black raspberry, anise, and tar/asphalt aromas. Sweet-seeming and fruity (black cherry) on the palate with hardly any remaining tannin and only medium(-) acid. Flabby. A "yummy" wine but does not present any real complexity or nuance at this stage, 6 years after harvest. "Very good," 88/100.

Great value for the money, Absolutely does not feel like a 15.1% wine. Easy drinker but with some nice layers of flavor.

Terrific, and a big-time steal at $13 from Last Bottle. It went fast at our party. Can’t miss as a BBQ wine.

Lovely GSM with (to me) unusual blend:
18% Grenache
47% Syrah
35% Mourvédre
LOVE the label and text: “Temperance, like chastity, is its own punishment”!
ArArArArAr . . . oh.
