One of the better bottles of California Chardonnay have had in a while. The balance with the age is basically an perfect spot. Hint of tropical fruit, great layers, beautiful complexity, and amazing balance.

For once in my life I completely agree with an average 92.4 rating according to CT at this particular moment. This wine was ready to go from the first seconds, but only continued to get better as it sat out. Stone-ground peach and ripe pear grittiness. Walnuts. A touch of sweetness. Excellent salinity and minerality up front and became much more substantial towards the finish. The versatility here seems to be quite profound, as this would go very well all by itself, or would pair with the full spectrum of food. Heck, I would even say this Sheridan a is substantial enough to cut through a ribeye. The only thing I would consider doing different would be to actually decant it! No signs of decline.

Translucent yellow. Very aromatic with a richly citric lemon/lime fruit. The sip is mouth coating, brightly refreshing, and lively textured. A superb example of how ocean cooled vineyards along the Sonoma Coast can make powerful Chardonnays without any flab or sweetness. Superbly enjoyable and complete by itself, as well as a great match with fish and sea foods.

100% French oak; 32 % new for 16 months. Alcohol: 14.2 %. Very bright fruit notes on the nose with peach and other stone fruit combined with some green apples. Similar fruit on the palate but with a rather slim profile and with a fantastic precise acidity. This is a great wine that will develop very well over many years.

This is an excellent chardonnay. Nice fruit. Very soft and smooth. Had is along side 2014 Rochioli Estate Chardonnay. While both are good, this one won hands down. Everything is in balance.

West of West SF Tasting, much richer on the nose than the Far Coast Vineyard Chardonnay, touch of lemon, lime, and minerals, more of the same on the palate, medium/big body, delicious tasting, White Burgundy like, needs a year to peak, long, lingering finish.

Our personal wine of the night at the Wine Watch sit down, pre-poured Hartford Court tasting with the owner, beating out 2 other Chardonnays and 5 excellent Pinot Noirs ranging in price from $31 to $66 a bottle. Could go toe to toe with the great white Burgundies in France. Superb acidity, intensely concentrated, supremely caressing texture, mouth coating, complexly layered, perfectly integrated oak, delicious lemon and lime citrus, and endlessly long. Chardonnay is usually one of the first grapes harvested, but from this supremely cool vineyard near the ocean and perched on a high ridge with an ocean view, the Chardonnay does not ripen until well into November, making it one of their last harvested grapes.

Like Padillami, I found this a bit ripe, not typical for Seascape.

A lot riper than I remember, usually my favorite but not this vintage.

Lemony mineralogy with underlying light saline. Delightful and consistent from start to finish.
