Strawberry shortcake and black tea on the nose. Delightfully round and inviting, with a wake-me-up-before-you-go-go acidity and a nice long finish. Perfect for Wine Friday at work.

I have always wanted to try a wine from this well known progressive producer. This Grenache has lots of interesting things to discuss. The nose just leaps of expressive, Grenache type stemmy and earthy aromas. The color is a little more opaque than expected. The body and structure, however are a lot more concentrated than the color would indicate. The true strength of this wine is it's lively vibrancy. Thoughtful grape growing and inspired winemaking reward us a wine that is totally alive in the glass. The red fruit is precise, though not forward and domineering. There is a clear transformation in the mid palate toward a plum and raisin. Sharp, precise acid. Little or no oak. Mild tannins. The finish is super smooth and approachable. Despite the expressive nose, this wine is more subtle than big. It morphs by the second in the glass.

Earthy but still a fresh and juicy grenache flavor profile. Light in color with enough acidity to go well with cheese - and in my case - pizza.

Well rounded, smooth tannins and full flavor; no decanting required; ruby colored, even finish across the palate.

Weird acidic spike in the middle that is most unpleasant.

Spicy ribena on the nose. Assertive on palate, nice balance of spice and fruit on tongue. Tannins sweep to finish

I struggled with this wine, which lacked complexity and was marred by a persistent astringency.
