Drank the previous bottle six years ago. My impression is that the years have done this wine well. Nice brick red color. Fruity nose, with black currants and something floral as well as tar and spices. Bold palate. Spices, cherries, leather, licorice, and pharmacy. The structure is still tight and grippy.

Maroon , almost rusty. Nose with tar, flowers and red meat. Much acid in the opening, red fruit in the middle portion and hints of raw licorice in the ending. Decent taste. Missing little tannins and structure. Although this is young , there was almost no spine to to hold it up.

in the nose sweet licorice, roses, strawberry and cherries. Medium+ tannins, decent acidity. On the palate deep strawberries, Dark cherries, mild licorice and spices. Medium+ aftertaste where the Finnish licorice is significant. Aktually a decent barbaresco if you can get it to a reduced price.

Italian Wine Class, and a Musar! (SF Wine Center): Traditional Barbaresco producer. Entry level. Medium minus dark ruby garnet to a red rim. Earthy, savory, soft blackberry, signs of oxidation - bruised apple skins. Light robitussin notes. Slight dried orange peel, dried flowers. Elevated alcohol, maybe 14%. In context of Barolo/Barbaresco, this is simple, soft, and relatively light in the mouth. It has some good secondaries though. Score: Around 8.5

Light bodied wine with limited flavors. It did open up over the course of the meal but never reached a decent peak. Not worth the price paid.

Um pouco cedo para consumo ainda talvez. Não tinha o caráter e tipicidade de um Barbaresco.
