Visits in Bordeaux; 9/18/2023-9/19/2023 (St Julien, Saint-Emilion, Pomerol): The nose is open and seamless with balanced tones of cassis, dark red cherries, licorice, raspberries, crushed rocks, fresh herbs, kirsch liqueur, and some violets. There is good complexity, but the depth is slightly lacking. The Medium/full bodied feel shows off the balance and seamless qualities of the nose with medium acidity and medium tannins. The structure is resolving and the feel is somewhat lush. This is a lovely start to the tasting and it is showing in a real good spot right now.

Quite brick red for a 10 year old wine, first aroma is heavy fruit, cherry, bramble then it softens and leather comes through, smells powerful, alcohol quite noticeable. Not great mouth feel, quite dry ans a bit thin, but tannins grip and finish is long and spice comes through. Some toast and age but feels like it will deepen more

Lovely wine, more characteristic of what this winery can do than Bordeaux as a whole. Succulent fruit, a nice degree of complexity, mature at 8 years. Delicious. Smack more of the winemaker than the terroir, I'd say.

6L btl. D2h. Notes by memory. Dark red, 5.5. Ripe red fruits, forest floor, cask sweetness that needs integration. Harmonious palate, intense currants, medium plus tannins, elegant finish. Drink now-2030

Very nice, our 1st bottle in this case - I noticed the nose as soon as I poured this Bordeaux along with a nice balance of fruit (dark fruit/black cherry), structure, balance and finish. Well integrated already. It may improve some if properly cellared, but with a little air it is ready now. Drink window may go beyond 2025. Cheers!

I can detect no significant evolution from just over a year ago when I wrote - It has a well developed bouquet on the nose and a medium +++ bodied palate showing plenty of ripe red fruit, touches of tar, good roundness, suave texture, fresh balancing acidity and kirsch tinged backbone towards the firm finish. This wine manages to combine a degree of lusciousness with elegant fragrance which makes it very attractive. Very good.

Typical Saint Emilion (or Cote de Castillon) with black cherry, a slight sweetness and some vanilla on the nose. Smooth and elegant on the palate. Medium body and very fruity. Remarkable freshness and a great length in the finish. Tannins already integrated. Overall a nice drinkability, I like it. A good vintage which offers a very nice value for money.

Deep ruby red colour. Medium nose with cherry, blackberry, forest floor, cedar and licorice. Medium taste of cherry, blackberry, forest floor, cedar and anise. Medium long and dry finish. Medium acidity. Medium tannins. A good Côtes de Castillion that could benefit from more storage. Goes well with beef or lamb.

This is very like my memory and TN of the 2012 with perhaps a tad more vibrancy and structure. It has a well developed bouquet on the nose and a medium +++ bodied palate showing plenty of ripe red fruit, touches of tar, good roundness, suave texture, fresh balancing acidity and kirsch tinged backbone towards the firm finish. It is already drinking very well for my taste and the benefit of further ageing will depend on personal preference for greater complexity at the expense of youthful vibrancy. Very good.

best after a couple of hours open in the bottle, scents of menthol, tobacco and campfire, high acidity, nicely balanced, shows baked berry, smoke, blackberry, herb and mineral on the palate, nuanced well, interesting, easy to drink, dark personality, still young and may be cellared, another 5 years will do this well, but drinks well now with air, had with juicy rib-eye steak

Jösses on hyvää! Eipä paljoa tunnu nuoret vuodet, on tosi avoin ja houkuttelevan kypsän marjaisa. Jopa karkkimaista kypsää hedelmää tuoksussa, viileää eukalyptusta. Suutuntuma tosi freesi, kuiva, melko hapokas, muttei erityisen tanniininen. Tämä on selvästi tehty nuorena juotavaksi. Jälkimaku on pitkä, jopa 30 sekuntia. Erinomainen hinta-laatusuhde. Pitää kyllä saada lisää tätä ja katsoa miten kestää aikaa.

on the nose , ripe cherry, tobacco,anise,cola,ash,smoky....lots of cut, cherry skin, not as creamy as my notes on his 12' clos marslette but higher acid perhaps more guts too, the weightless/pinot like texture is still there, day 2 blackberry coulis, iodine on nose, wood/concrete fermentation then 14mo in barrel...80%merlot 20% cab franc

Appealing nose, good concentration, solid mouth feel. Classic cranberry, plus red and black fruits, with good minerality, velvety mouth feel. Always a sexy wine and of huge value. Consistent and nicely done for the vintage. Drinks well young or follow over 7-15 years. A blend of 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc. 91/92

I think I agree with other notes, still a little withdrawn even after a decant. Gives you a sense of what could be so hold for a year or two?
