Not a bottle I'll dream about, but it was a fine wine. I kept waiting for something magical to happen, but I can't say it ever really did. I did not get the brett that others encountered; nothing offensive came out of my bottle. It seemed a little sleepy. Maybe aging it a few more years would have had an effect.
I might buy it again because it had a nice, pure taste and some depth offered at a very reasonable price. You could pair it with pizza, burgers, mushroom dishes, or a stew and it would go well. However, it wasn't a memorable bottle.

Revealing a wonderfully expressive bouquet of dark fruits, licorice, sweet florals and minerals. On the palate, I found focused black cherry fruit with hints of spice and dark earth, which lasted well into the finish along with a juicy bump of brisk acidity that made the mouth water. This is a classically-styled Barbera that will give a lot of pleasure to fans of the old-world style.
