Expressive on the nose, quite sweet, notes of honey, flowers, exotic fruit. A little flabby on the palate, quite concentrated and heavy, decent length. Drink up. 87-89

Fascinating on the nose with all those sweet orange peels, a touch of caramel and easy and cleansing on the palate. Nicely developed, sits comfortably an a big burgundy glass.

The wine shows a clear, medium, yellow colour. On the nose the wine is clear with medium+ intensity. It opens up with clear buttery notes, some pineapple, peach(yoghurt). A very tropical nose to start with. You can smell that it's 5 years old, because that oak vanilla has faded away and made room for more developed flavours, like almonds and dried abricot. On the second day it showed more toasty and honied notes. On the palate the wine is dry, with medium acidity, full body and a medium, but intense, finish. It lost some of its wow-factor on the second day, so i'd suggest you drink up this wine soon.

A textbook new world chardonnay with decent amount of oak as well. The wine its good and had good acidity to hold everything together but much like many oaky chardonnays fails to strike anything more than an ok feeling. 88

Ingehouden bouquet. Licht floraal, klein beetje animaal. Punt.). Oogstjaar 2013

Weekly tasting group #229; A mixed set fully blind tasted. (@ RW): Fresh bouquet with grasses and citrus. On the palate a tasty wine with apples, soft citrus, vanilla from the oak, fresh acidity and also a firm dose of sweetness. Overall an interesting and well made wine.

Very intense, high in alcohol, complete White wine. Powerful at the start, but lot of finesses in the second part. Woody and smooth, with an elegant finish.

Rich, yet refreshing; complex but sippable. From one of the well known producers of Argentina comes a fantastic chardonnay that will please folks all along the spectrum. The vineyards involved are exceptional both for their quality and for their altitude - just under 5000ft! What results is a wine that's rich in flavour with strong stone (peach, apricot) and tropical (pineapple, mango, papaya, banana) fruit notes, but also well balanced with heaps of spice, oak (vanilla, toast, charred wood), and minerality. The finish provides an incredible sense of lemon meringue. Despite sitting at 14% ABV, the wine maintains a refreshing feel thanks to the spot-on acidity. Amazing to be able to experience a little taste of both sides of chardonnay in one bottle; for $37, I think it's an absolute steal. Simply put, this is an excellent wine.

Appearance: Clear wine with a medium lemon colour.
Nose: Clean nose with a Medium+ intensity. This wine is developing.
A very pleasant and well balanced mixture of stone and tropical fruits. Green pineapple, light banana notes and lemon are prominent and are matched by a pleasant creaminess. The oak and MLF influences are very subtle and pleasing.
Stone fruits become more pronounced on the palate, although some green pineapple is still creeping in. Fresh yet creamy; a very nicely balanced wine. Butter and citrus on the finish.
Excellent quality Chardonnay from Mendoza, Argentina. Can be drank now but will gain complexity over the next 3-5 years. At 25 euros a bottle, good QPR.

Bu à La Grande Dégustation de Montréal. Nez surtout sur le beurre avec un peu de citrons. En bouche c`est ample et un peu gras, beurré. Citron et belle acidité, assez long.

An old favourite. Lots of butter on the nose. Obvious oak on the palate but still balanced thanks to racy acidity and ripe pear fruit flavours. Not at all subtle but reliably enjoyable.

Medium nose shows pear, green apple, lemongrass, straw, maybe a slight salinity. Palate is full bodied, creamy, vanilla, candied citrus, orange zest, and then underlying notes of apple, fresh flowers, crushed flowers. Medium plus acidity, medium plus finish, medium plus alcohol.

A pleasant, well-crafted Chardonnay, though not noticeably better than the 'High Mountain Vines' line, several dollars less expensive. Marginal QPR. 89-90.

Rich tropical fruits on the nose, mango, pineapple, etc... In the mouth lively and clean, oak pleasantly assimilated. This is very easy to be liked.
