I don’t recall purchasing this wine, but - per the magic of Cellartracker - looks like I picked this up several years ago for a song ($17)
Notes from day 2: Still has grip and plenty of fruit, with great spice (clove & cinnamon) to compliment the strawberry and darker plum notes. Was distracted night one, but it couldn’t have been this good. A 9 year old pinot from Santa Maria that’s still going strong on day 2...for less than 20 bones? No complaints.

A quality Santa Maria Valley Pinot. The nose shows plenty of dark berries and spice, especially cloves; all of which are matched on the palate with a nice splash of tart cherries. The tight acidity and soft, subtle tannins balance this gem out nicely.

A lush, full, extraordinarily balanced Santa Maria Pinot Noir. We love Pinot Noirs from this area, and we especially loved this one. You can probably drink it for a couple more years ( through 2021) - it is truly an expressive, stable, beautiful wine with great varietal characteristics and expressions of the Santa Maria terroir.

Nothing exceptional and definitely underwhelming for a $30 pinot. Higher acidity than expected but not tart or offensive. Flavor profile was earthy, red berry, oakey, with a nice smooth finish.

medium ruby color. Medium intensity aromas of cola, cherry, strawberry, maybe candied cherries, ash, dust, earth, spice. On the palate, dry with medium plus acidity, medium body, medium minus tannin. There were flavors of both fresh and dried fruit- mostly red, cherry, strawberry, some bazooka bubble gum (? carbonic maceration), some toast and spice from oak and even some earth. Complex, medium plus finish, medium plus intensity- a very good wine. Can drink now or hold just a few more years.

Classic Cali pinot nose with cherry cola and spice, but big promise becomes a little thin on first sip. That said, flavors develop nicely and wine has a medium long finish. Food friendly and accessible wine that's drinking nicely now.

Clear, deep garnet. Pencil shavings, strawberry, vanilla. Very slightly sweet, low acids, low tannins. Toasted oak. Short balanced finish. By the glass at Convino (fresh bottle)

Pinot Noir is not my favorite, but this was quite good. Smooth. Ripe fruit. Nice level of tannins.

Dark fruits and a touch of minerality on the nose. Big for a pinot. Medium plus body, rich dark fruits a earth on the palate. 90 points
