Surprised by many of the comments as I feel this is one of the more balanced Cali pinot's at this price, or even within $20 more. Not too fruity or too oaky and with a nice, smooth finish that isn't tart or thin. I'm more an Oregonian pinot fan and found this leaning in that direction.

Monday night with kale mushroom sausage and white bean soup. Very fruity sour cherries and black pepper. Party wine. Quick finish. Light in color and silky mouthfeel.

Tested because of www.vin-top-10.dk recommendation.
A Californian Pinot Noir that is not too fruity and too intrusive. As a cost alternative to burgundy it does not work for me, I rather add another $5-7 and go for a Austrian or German pinot noir.

Murphy Goode Pinot has pure Caluiornia attack of quick hitting fresh plum, cherry and blackberry. Plenty of young tannins that linger on finish with a bit of vanilla. Fruity throughout.

Mild grape flavor. None of the cherry mentioned on the labeling. Very little tannins. Bought to go with a smokey shrimp pasta though a bolder wine would have been better. It was a good Pinot and I will buy it again though.

Tasted out of a plastic cup at a social gathering. Pleasant & VERY easy drinking; Possibly not TOTALLY dry.
WOULD "buy again" if for the type of setting above -- & the price were right. [Say, $11 or less.]

Typical mid priced Pinot. Good grape characteristic but a bit weak in flavor and watery.
